My toilet downstairs will overflow when you flush the upstairs toilets and use the washing machine (drain cycle). I used a snake and the liquid Rid X and Roter Rooter products. They helped a little. The toilet has just a little bit of a drain right now; but if you flush upstairs or still flush downstairs, it will overflow. HELP!! ::eek: :eek: :eek:

I posted a message in here about my toilet downstairs. It's overflowing when you flush the toilets upstairs and when you let the washing machine drain water. I did use a snake and I used some Rid X and Roter Rooter liquids to help. The toilet flushed one time like it was supposed to but, was back to the overflowing again. It will drain, but only a little bit. Very little. Can you help??

Are you on city sewer or a septic tank? It's for sure that you have a blockage that you haven't reached but until I have more details I can't give you much of a answeer.

Somebody probably accidentally dropped something in your downstairs toilet, such as a comb or toothbrush and then flushed it down the drain. Then it became stuck in the outlet pipe and it's what's causing your toilets and drains to back up. You'll need a plumber to dismantle your downstairs toilet and get into the pipe to remove whatever object is obstructing it.

Find the house clean out and open it up. Flush and cycle the washer. If it backs up out of the cleanout the blockage's from the house to the street. If the cleanout's clear then the blockage inside the house system and can be snaked fron the downstairs toilet or the lavatory roof vent. You'll need a sewer machine to clear this. Regards, Tom
