    Hello!

Red tend to fade quite quickly. You should use shampoos and conditioners formulated for red heads. John Freida do a range called "Radiant Reds". They have shampoos, conditioners, styling products.
Also, you need to get your colour refreshed from time to time by applying a semi or a demi to keep it looking radiant and fresh. Hope that helps!

CMH, I apologize for the inconvenience. I took some time off due to work and other things. But now I'm back to answer the members hair and skin care questions.

As I've mentioned in many posts similar to this, red hair will fade faster than any other color. There are hair colors that contains a fade defying system for long lasting color such as Loreal or Revlon. You can also use a color enhancing shampoo once a week to maintain and refresh your hair color between regular color treatments. Pantene Red Expressions Color Enhancing Shampoo and Conditioners are great for maintaining color treated red hair.

On the topic of red hair dye, do you know of a specific Red Head dye that has a nice natural color? I used to use Loreal Feria Hot Ginger but they stopped making it. I cannot find another unless I mix a few together. Any advice. Should I post this as a separate question? Thanks!

Ginger is a reddish-brown color. If Loreal has discontinued the Feria Hot Ginger hair color, try using Loreal Preference Reddish Brown or Auburn. Loreal also has a Mega Reds collection such as Intensive Auburn and Intense Copper Auburn. These products are available at a local drugstore or pharmacy in the hair care aisle.
