    Asphalt Resurface
I recently had a contractor "resurface" my old asphalt driveway. At his suggestion, the job did not involve removing/repairing the old driveway -- he just spread a new layer of asphalt over the existing driveway. In a period of less than 10 days, grass started growing through the resurface job. Is this reasonable? What is the problem? How can it be fixed?:(

Not sure how it can be fixed, but no, it's not reasonable. I'd get him back out there to fix the issue ASAP.

Was grass growing through the old driveway before the resurface? How thick was the resurface job, at least 1.5"? Have you spread grass seed lately? I know, lots of questions with no answer but this is not correct and I'm trying to gather all info.
