Edification and Encouragement
If you are Christian, Please post encouragements, verses, prayers, praise to the LORD. I'd like to start this thread as a running source of edification for the Body of Christ.
Please no contrary posts. I really just want a place to encourage.
Blessings to you. Kel

Deuteronomy 31:6
Be strong and of good courage, do not fear nor be afraid of them; for the LORD your God, He is the One who goes with you. He will not leave you nor forsake you.”
We can be sure to know the LORD will be our Strength.
Psalm 18:2
The LORD is my rock and my fortress and my deliverer;My God, my strength, in whom I will trust; My shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.
Psalm 18:1-3 (in Context) Psalm 18 (Whole Chapter)
Psalm 18:32
It is God who arms me with strength,And makes my way perfect.
Psalm 18:31-33 (in Context) Psalm 18 (Whole Chapter)
Psalm 18:39
For You have armed me with strength for the battle;You have subdued under me those who rose up against me.
Psalm 18:38-40 (in Context) Psalm 18 (Whole Chapter)
Psalm 19:14
Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heartBe acceptable in Your sight, O LORD, my strength and my Redeemer.

I can get through this today. I am promised the strength and peace.
What does this mean to me?
1. God will give me the strength I need to make it through whatever I am facing today. I am not to worry about tomorrow, but look at the battle of today. Today I am battling thoughts that I know would take me out if I let them dominate.
Psalm 19:14
Let the words of my mouth and the meditation of my heartBe acceptable in Your sight, O LORD, my strength and my Redeemer.
Psalm 19:13-14 (in Context) Psalm 19 (Whole Chapter)
2. God promises that He has armed me with all I need to face my enemies. Today, they are thoughts. I woke up with insanity breeding in my mind. I woke up with the past tormenting me to remember what I used to be like. I woke up in terror.
2 Timothy 1:7 For God has not given us a spirit of fear or timidity, but of power, love and sound-mind.
This means that I have the promise of control over my thoughts. This means that I have the strength to subdue the thoughts that try to overwhelm me. This means that I have the power to "take every thought captive to the obedience of Christ." I can overcome in the power of the Spirit. I am given all I need. Do I accept and take this gift? YES! I choose to stand in this promise I have from my God and Savior to keep me, protect me, and strengthen me.

Don't know if this is what the topic is for, But I read this last night after I was getting bashed by people from other religions (I actually wanted to read the Psalms and this is where it opened to):
Psalm 5:1-12
"Give ear to my words, O Lord,
Consider my meditation.
Give heed to the voice of my cry,
My King and my God,
For to You I will pray.
My voice You shall hear in the morning, O Lord;
In the morning I will direct it to You, And I will look up.
For You are not a God who takes pleasure in wickedness,
Nor shall evil dwell with you. The boastful shall not stand in Your sight;
You hate all workers of iniquity. You shall destroy those who speak falsehood;
The Lord abhors the bloodthirsty and deceitful man.
But as for me, I will come into Your house in the multitude of Your mercy;
In fear of You I will worship toward Your holy temple.
Lead me, O Lord, in Your righteousnedd because of my enemies;
Make Your way straight before my face.
For there is no faithfulness in their mouth;
Their inward part is destruction; Their throat is an open tomb;
They flatter with their tongue.
Pronounce them guilty, O God!
Let them fall by their own counsels;
Cast them out in the multitude of their transgressions,
For they have rebelled against You.
But let all those rejoice who put their trust in You;
Let them ever shout joy, because You defend them;
Let those also who love Your name Be joyful in You.
For You, O Lord, will surround him as with a shield.
