A few countries aspire to being civilized as opposed to barbaric places such as Pakistan, Saudi Arabia, the usual suspects... what's wrong with apologizing to a person you kidnapped, flew across the world and had tortured?? (I'm thinking Syrian torture is pretty gruesome... electrodes on privates and worse.. :))
As for Canada, I hope they are monitoring the guy, at least!

Maybe they tortured him and maybe they taught him how to make bombs, and with 10 million he won’t be hurting for supplies.:D :D :D

First off, this is old news, but from what I remember of it:
The reason he was paid 10 million by the Canadian government was because the RCMP flat out lied.
The RCMP admitted they had no evidence to connect him to terrorism but told the US he had terrorism links. The US therefore sent him to Syria, where he was tortured, etc.

It's in today's news and he is barred from entering the United States due to his status as a terrorism suspect. Nothing in the article about the RCMP admitting they had no evidence. I should think that some link would have been asked for from U.S. officials. Do you know what would motivate an out and out lie?
