I am in the same boat. I worry so much that I cannot function. I get a sick feeling throughout and can't seem to shake it. Everything little thing that happens or goes wrong seems enormous and I'm driving myself nuts!! It consumes my entire being to the point that I can't think of anything else. I am desperate for peace and harmony in my life but everything that goes wrong affects me to the point that I can't eat properly, can't sleep properly and I worry about how I can fix it. My sister is the same way and neither of us can stop. I've been like this since I was a kid. Rationalizing that I shouldn't sweat the small things doesn't help.

    Basic Meditation
    By Robert Brenner

First you’ll need to create the mood. Decide where you will do your meditation. After you become comfortable with meditation, you will learn that it can be done, anytime, anywhere, but since this will be used for beginners we will start here.

So.. you have the place, now you will want soft lighting, candles, incense and soft music.

Depending on what is most comfortable for you and the amount of space, you lay flat on your back, sit with both feet on the floor, sit on the floor, legs folded. What ever Is the most comfortable for you.

Close your eyes, breath. The breath is VERY important. Breath in DEEP and breath out DEEP.
As you do this you will feel the body’s vibration getting higher. Again the out breath releases stored energy. Try it now, take a DEEP breath, feel how your body gets bigger, now blow that away, BLOW HARD, like you are trying to inflate a 40 foot swimming pool that has a hole in the other side. Feel how your body feels different after the out breath Yes? Do you feel it? GOOD!

Now... Imagine this funnel, a swirling cosmic mist, of energy and light that comes down from the universe and funnels into the top of your head. And as you breath allow this energy to flow through your whole body, fill the head, then the neck and shoulders. Now, move it into the heart and lungs, and then lower into the abdomen. Now into the hips or pelvic region and finally into the base of the spinal cord, the tail bone. Allow this to flow out from the tail bone and flow into mother earth, going all the way to the center or the core of mother earth. This is your grounding cord, just like lightening grounds or discharges energy into mother earth when it strikes the ground your grounding cord releases stored from your body and circulates it back to mother earth.

This is a simple, basic meditation, for those who are new to meditation. As you become more experienced, you will be guided to allow it to expand for your own needs.

    Enjoy!
    In light, love and peace

Not an expert on this but if you worry you care cause I'm the opposite don't care so don't worry. By the sounds of things you have figured out what you would do in any of those situations so you are prepared in a sense if they do happen. Lets face it life happens and all you can do is go with it. Things are good for you now so just enjoy and replace the worrys with a positive like if you start thinking oh my mums getting old and might die soon forget that and think of a time you did something fun togeather or you say money prolems think of what you would do with a million dollars if you won the lotto.
