My belly piercing just bleeded! Is it normal?
:( I got my belly pierced of September 5 2007. Blood just came out. I'm wondering is that normal or a sign of infection. I keep it very clean & I do take care of it. HELP

Its not good what ever it is, considering its been a month.
I wouldn't take the risk of just leaving in and go to your gp, better going to a doctor than having to loose a chunk of skin from your belly button!

You should definitely take it out. It's possible it's not infected, if there is no pus or yellowish/ greenish discharge coming from it. What may have happened if you got it caught on something (like your shirt) and it tugged on it and ripped some skin tissue. But that tear could come infected. Take it out, and clean it with alcohol every day for 3 or 4 days.

Probably not, that's probably pus. It could be infected. Take it out, and make a Doc appt. because you may need an antibiotic.

I would have it looked at... I have a lot of piercings and I used to have my belly pierced before the babies and I don't remember it ever just bleeding... you should maybe go back to where you had it done and have them look at it and if that's no help go to the doctor's, because if you ignore it and it is infected then a few weeks or months from now it is going to look real nasty probably

You don't have to take it out. Just go to your doc and he will give you some antibiotics or smth to take care of the infection.. It will be uncomfortable at first but if you want to keep your piercing then I suggest you put up with it. Mine has a slight infection and it hurts when I clean it but I put up with it because I broke the law getting this baby pierced and no way in hell am I losing it!
