    If you are bankrupt unless you dirve a 100,000 sports car, no they don't take your car, you have a lot of exemptions that you are allowed to use.

    If you owe on the car you will have to keep paying for it, you can not keep a car and not pay for it, you will have to re-affirm the debt on the car. If you go bankrupt and can not pay for the car payments, they will still take the car
