    Am I pregnant?
    I am 23 yrs old mother of two.I am approx.4 to 5 days late for my period.I am cramping and I took a pregnancy test yesterday and it was negative... any advice?

    Maybe your hcg levels weren't high enough. Take another test tomorrow, if it comes out negative again, wait another week and see if your period comes, if not then get a blood test. Goodluck

    I agree with Becca1025, you should do that... if you are lucky and aren't pregnant, you should strart taking an anticonseptive pild, there are many really effective and cheap.
    It will save you many headaches, like the one you have rigth now...
    Any way, can't you abort?

    Useless advice! Where in the world did you get from the OP that she didn't want the pregnancy... or that she needed advice on how to abort it??

    HcG doubles every 2 days, if you are pregnant. So I would suggest waiting 2 days from when you tested last, and of course use your first morning urine. If you still get a negative result and still haven't had your period I would call your doctor to get a blood test.

    Yeah,I will definitely re-test tomorrow... I'm still a little apprehensive.and I DO NOT want to abort the pregnancy if I am pregnant.thanks macksmom and becca 1025!

    Well... still no period!. I re-tested this morning and it is still negative... I called my ob/gyn and I have an appt for the 10 of the month... not as soon as I hoped... but.. I'll take what I can get!. now I guess I just have to play the waiting game...

    Remember that it is not uncommon to be late, or even completely miss a cycle now and then. I have been two months late before, for seemingly no reason, and then started just fine from that point on. Its also possible that your hcg levels just aren't high enough yet. Some women take weeks, or months to register on a hpt. Some women never do show on a hpt. Please let us know how your doctors appointment goes, and good luck to you

    Well I went and got my blood work done today... and they said I can call my docs tomorrow to find out the results... I'm felling a little more at ease now that the test is in the works... it's just weird because my other two pregnancies registered right away on home tests... guess I'll find out either way tomorrow... oh and by the way... I DO remember the last time I had sex... and... that has NOTHING to do with me knowing if I'm pregnant or not... [

    Tell me, Monstertruck is a Man, because I don't believe a woman would ever say that.

    Do you have any of the symptoms, that are common during pregnancy?

    Such as being extremely tired and retiring to bed early.

    Waking up in the middle of the night for frequent trips to the bathroom.


    Many pregnant women experience nosebleeds.

    And, a very common symptoms, women who love coffee, suddenly become nauseous just by smelling a cup of java.

    I have a lot of common pregnancy symptoms... alot of bloating... sore breasts,tired,not really expierencing any nausea or vomiting... but I am also going to the bathroom more frequently... and cramping of the somach and lower back pain...

    Well... I went to the er tonight because the cramping was so bad... after 4 hours many tubes of blood and an internal and urine test... I'm not pregnant!! they said it may just be a late period,or possibly a cyst.I started bleeding a little bit ago... mabey the onset of my period?. I don't know... I was never late before... guess there's a first time for everything,huh?. thanks to all the help form everybody!!
