    Yes you can. Freeze in small amounts and defrost in the fridge, not on the counter, when you need it. I would suggest double wrapping. Wrap first in plastic wrap and then in a zip lock bag.

    I have some leftover from a beef Wellington recipe.
    How do you feel about using a vacuum food saver system to store it in it's original pop-top tin... i.e.: put the tin right in the vac baggie?

    I think a vac food saver system is ideal. That would eliminate any freezer burn entirely ! Years ago I used to use a straw to suck all air out of a bag before sealing.

    Cptn, you know what they say 'necessity being the mother of invention', in this case it was 'frustration being the mother of invention'!! I HATE FREEZER BURN!!

Hello, the line from the central air unit keeps freezing. The fan from both the unit and the furnace come on, but after an hour or so it has a weak flow (barely cool) and I have to turn it off to defrost. I wonder if I need a thicker insulated cover? Any ideas? Thanks!
