    Yes you can. Freeze in small amounts and defrost in the fridge, not on the counter, when you need it. I would suggest double wrapping. Wrap first in plastic wrap and then in a zip lock bag.

    I have some leftover from a beef Wellington recipe.
    How do you feel about using a vacuum food saver system to store it in it's original pop-top tin... i.e.: put the tin right in the vac baggie?

    I think a vac food saver system is ideal. That would eliminate any freezer burn entirely ! Years ago I used to use a straw to suck all air out of a bag before sealing.

    Cptn, you know what they say 'necessity being the mother of invention', in this case it was 'frustration being the mother of invention'!! I HATE FREEZER BURN!!
