HEELLLPP! My dog is really sick
She's 5 months old and over the past 2 days she's thrown up several times and has real bad diorreah! I don't know if she's eaten anything, but it seems like she has a serious stomach bug. She threw up her breakfast and even her water. The vet had already left to go home when we took her, so we shall have to wait till 2moz!
Is there anything I can do to help her?
I tried giving her some warm rice as I heard it was good when dogs are sick but she threw it up.
I want her to be comfortable tonight, because she sleeps in the kitchen
    What can I do?

Delay can be fatal if it is parvo. I am afraid this is a case for the after hours number. If your vet doesn't seem to have one, try the regular number. If nothing, look for a 24 hour emergency clinic.

What is parvo? She isn't really bad at the moment, like she will move around and wag tail loads when she meets new people, she's just not her lively self and very quiet... :S
Does she have a stomach bug?

She hasn't been fed all day, and she has had all the vaccinations... :S
Could she really have that? Because she's not really really ill just not well
She is still moving around and stuff

Any time a puppy isn't able to keep food and water down (vomiting) and has diarrhea, it is time to get it to the vet. One day your puppy may seem alert, the next it can die. If you care about the dog, you just don't take chances that it might be a mild virus and wait it out. Your dog needs to see a vet. I don't understand your post saying that you have to wait 2 months. Are you living in an area where the vet has to fly in? If not, if your regular vet isn't available, find another one. Please don't delay.

''so we shall have to wait till 2moz!'' I wasn't sure what that meant. If as RubyPitbull suggested you don't have a vet available, try to get fluids into her, Pedilyte or even Gatorade would be better than water. A 5 month old may survive what would kill a 7 week old in days. It is still a big risk. It was a 7 month old that died in the thread I referenced.

Ruby often picks up things I miss.

The vet is your best bet. However having 3 dogs myself and living in the country. I treat my dogs as kids. If your kid was vomiting what would you give him? I have given my dogs amodian ad. Pepto bismo. Try that I would reccomed something for smaller children.

Leila, those are good ideas if there is no way at all to get to a vet. Unfortunately, if the puppy has parvo, and it might, it will die if not treated by a vet. Even with treatment, if Fly delays it one day, the pup can still die. It is a terrible, terrible virus. We have been seeing a lot of posts regarding people losing their puppies to parvo lately. It is very upsetting.

thanks guys it was really helpful! By 2moz it means tomorrow. Lol
I took her to the vet and he gave her antibiotics. He doesn't think she has parvo, in fact he didn't even consider it. She's gradually getting better, with these antibiotics. And she hasn't thrown up since early morning yesterday and seems to be keeping down her food! But one thing we're watching for is that its not just the antibiotics. That she is getting better herself without them. If she gets worse the vet is going to give her a general anesthetic and take and x-ray, because she may have eaten something.
    thanks again guys
    xxx
