    Home remodeling
    I want to know what I need to install a bathroom in my basement... what kind of permits and legal stuff I need to do before I do anything :confused:

    Where is the main sewer drain, at basement floor level or at a higher level, where you will need a sewage pump to pump the waste water up to the main drain.

    Normally you will have to file and get approved for a building permit, and the building inspector will have to inspect all of the plumbing before it is hiden behind walls and floors. And then a final inspection after it is all completed.
