    Toilet drainage and sewage backwash
    When any water is being used in the house, the two toilets in the house start to make bubbling sounds. The toilets are located at opposite ends of the house. We have been limiting our water usage until the plumber comes tomorrow, but we have forgotten to turn off our Water Softener which regenerated (every 11 days). The regeneration caused both toilets to bubble, and fecal matter/back sewage arose in both tubs. The water receded slowly in the tubs and the toilet bowls, leaving fecal matter. This problem only appears in the bathroom, and the kitchen sink seems to be unaffected. Any suggestions?

    Septic tank or city sewer? If you're on a septic system the tank may need pumping. But it's for sure that you have a partial blocking downstream from the toilets. The plumber has two options. Pull one of the toilets and snbake from the closet bend or go up on the roof and snake from the lavatory roof vent. Good luck, Tom

    The problem is solved! Thank goodness! Roto-rooter came and snaked it from the main line. There was a "belly" in the main line due to grease. Thanks again for all your suggestions.
