    Roommate late fees
My roommate who is on the lease wants to charge me 10% of my rent and 10% of the utilities if I don't pay on the first of the month and there is not a grace period. There are a total of three people living in the apartment. She has not given the addendum to the other roommate only me. I only have paid a few days late after getting her permission. She never told me there was a problem with this. The pg and e and water only charge a few dollars if she is late but she wants to profit and charge me 10% of the total bill. Is it true she cannot charge me more than what she is being charged? What are my rights? Thank you.

No its not true. Your rights are to go along with what she wants or move.

Since she is the only one on the lease, she is your landlord. She can offer whatever terms she wants to give you for you to live there as long as they don't go against the law. And there is no law that prevents her from marking up fees she might incur because you are late with your payments.
