My dog has been throwing up after eating her food. She's a 2 yr. old German Short-haired pointer and runs all day outside in the summer heat; comes in; eats and throws up. She eats a high quality dry dog food that she was raised on and my little Pom puppy eats the same with no problem.

Perhaps a cool down period before eating would help. If she is wolfing it down, slowing her down might help. You can either spread it out on a cookie sheet or something or put large rocks in her food dish. Either way keeps her from gulping down one large mouthful after another.

Take the dog to the vet!!

My dog is like that too. My dog does not know when to stop running and she would do it constantly even if she was throwing up. So instead of waiting for her to tell me when she is done running, I did some testing and discovered that she can go for 3 hours as long as she gets a cool down every 1/2-1 hour and gets tons of water.
