Central AC not blowing inside, outside fan runs continuously.
My ac guy has added freon, cleaned the outside coil, replaced the inside fan motor, and replaced thermostat. The outside fan will kick on, but the inside fan doesn't kick on. If I shut the unit OFF, then back ON at the thermostat sometimes it will kick the inside air on and it will be fine. But, once it shuts off at the correct temp, it starts all over again... outside fan kicks on but nothing blowing from inside vents.

Sounds like a problem with the blower motor relay not engaging to power up the motor, based upon what has already been done in attempt to correct problem. Check for 24v input to relay & line-voltage output to blower motor. Is this unit a Janitrol or Goodman by chance? They are notorious for faulty time-delay blower relays-I typically replace them with a standard blower relay for reliability's sake.

Get a new ac guy... parts changer haha if you call for ac and outside unit starts tehn your t stat is working check power to your blower should be 120v if so and you have a good common ground then motor is bad. If no 120 the look to your control board, and tighten all white leadsif outsuide unti runs when no call stuck contacter at condenser. Control boards suck , if you have a little rattle in the unit all the leads loosen causing sporadic behavior

Heat pump AHU fan runs continuously [ 2 Answers ]

I have a 12 year old Trane Xe1000 heat pump. Recently I noticed that the fan keeps running continuously even when the outside unit turns off. It's as if the tstat fan switch is set to On (it's not) instead of Auto. I tried a few things: 1) In the tstat (weathertron) I disconnected the fan...

AC runs continuously with fan in ON position [ 7 Answers ]

When I put my electronic thermostat to the FAN position, the AC runs continuously (even if I have the HEAT/COOL switch OFF!). I have checked the wiring on the thermostat and on the furnace control connections -- it all seems to be correct. Could it be a faulty thermostat?

I have never worked with AC's but was asked to look at a issue after someone had already removed a thermostat. The plan was for them to replace old with new digital. There are 8 existing wires on old unit and new digital schematic only shows wiring diagram for up to 5 wires. I decided to try put...

Inside fan runs, outside fan runs, but air is not cold [ 8 Answers ]

The inside fan runs and runs, the outside fan on the compressor runs and runs, but only hot air comes out. I sprayed the outside compressor coils with the garden hose to clean them and checked the inside filter. Is there something else I could check? Thanks

Outside fan runs continuously [ 5 Answers ]

This is a very helpful sight and I am hoping someone can give me some advice. I have a fairly new house (5 years old) and I am having some problems with a Carrier unit. At the end of this summer it started tripping the breaker on very hot days and we called a technician whom found nothing wrong. ...
