    Judgements and liens on property
    Great Site!
I want to make sure I understand posts I have read on this subject.
Before a credit card co. can place a lien on property they need to go to court and get a judgement. Is this correct?

Thank you for all the information contained on this site.

Before a credit card company can do ANYTHING to collect money other than ask you to pay, then have to obtain a judgement. Whether it's a garnishment, attachment, lien or whatever.

Also, since credit card debt is unsecured, its harder to obtain a lien against real property. Usually they can only attach cash assets.
