    89 honda civic
    89 honda civic battery light comes on and off sometimes stays on awhile and goes off when engine idle changes I disconnect the battery (negative) cable and car did not cut off so I think alternator seems to be good could anyone tell what causing this?

    Idle rpm is too low. Consider adjusting the throttle cable to slightly increase idle rpm.
