Hi;
We have a low-flow toilet in the basement bathroom.
It is constantly getting blocked up.

One plumber told us that these toilets use a narrower neck, outlet pipe, whatever the correct term for the drain pipe would be, and this is why it gets blocked so easily. This is part of the toilet, not the house plumbing.
The old toilet this one replaced didn't flush well at all, but at least it didn't get blocked.

We have an auger, which has saved us $$ in plumbing calls, but it's a real pain to have to use the thing at least once a week!
We have a 10 year old in the house, and have suspected her of dropping too much paper into the toilet.
I have found that it won't take much at all to block it.

Is there anything we can do aside from replacing the toilet with a normal or high pressure flush?

Single ply paper. On the other hand, some toilets do not flush well even after they are adjusted right.

That is one thing I suggested as well. Problem with single-ply is that everyone tends to use more of it, so I don't know if the actual amount of paper being used is less.
What I have been doing is flushing more than once if required. It's hard to teach others those habits though.

Two ply bunches up but single ply breaks up, it handles different in the water
