It could be an infection of the breast or a condition called galactorrhea (which is caused by hormone inbalance) It might also be a problem with your pituitary gland. I would see a doctor and have them take a sample to test.

Cystic breast . Are they sore? I had breast problems when I was younger and mine woulld get sore and leak. This started when I was about 18 and did not get better until after I had children. I was advised by the ob/gyn not to consume very much caffene. Hope this helps.

Certain medication may be to blame, particularly those used in treatments for some psychiatric problems, but thyroid disorders and very occasionally small benign brain tumours of the pituitary gland can lead to milk production.

The discharge, you say is breast milk, which is reassuring because the investigation of any blood-stained discharge would be more urgent.

My advice would be to see your doctor to undergo a breast examination and to start some simple tests to see which of the above possibilities could be responsible for your symptoms. On the face of it, it does not sound like anything to worry unduly about

To put it simply, see a doctor. It is unusual for your breasts to leak anything if you are not pregnant :)

Ooh tickle you reminded one time mine was a real dark color almost black, they did tons of test on them to make sure it was not breast cancer, finally they started asking me if I squeezed them. They could not give really ever give me an explanation of what it was. He he said maybe I got flower dirt inside the nipple it while working in my garden. :)
