Hun, there is nothing to feel stupid for. Just a little FYI for you, did you know that girls who start their period like way early like around age 10 have higher chance of getting different forms of female cancer? So there, that should make you feel a little better.

Now, if this is your first period, you may not get another one when you are on holiday. Not every woman gets their period every month when they first start. I don't see any reason for you going on birth control just for holiday. It is not good for you to mess with your hormones like that.

Yes I will take some pads and that on holiday and I don't really want to go on the pill because I do not want to mess my hormones up. Sooo am I a LADY now?

Giggle, let's get through the first period before we talk about tampons. First off, they are quite uncomfortable the first few times you use them, and actually can be quite dangerous if you don't use them correctly.

Yes, all of us women have bled on our sheets, it is just one of the curses of being a woman. Thank goodness for washers and dryers.

You will know when to change your pad because it will be rather full, you will just know. My 13 year old changes hers every two hours whether needed or not. She says she just feels cleaner that way.

I have just come off the deprovera shot. It has been 4 months since I had my period, I have heard that it takes a while to come off it. However I have been experiencing bad headaches for about a week & a half, bloating, sore breasts just like my period but still no bleeding. Is this normal?
