    Owner Finance
I am new here, but I need some sound advice before I go crazy. We have spoken to the owner of a home in the town we live in about leasing to own their house. They have not lived there for 2 years, and have agreed to a lease/purchase. However, every time we are to meet to sign the contract they call with one excuse or another. We have to be out of our apt. by the 1st. They called today and said that it would be Mon before the contract would be ready, when we were supposed to be able to move our belongings in over this weekend. Now they are saying that it will be the beginning of the week before we can move anything.
Here is the problem, in order to be out of the apt and have things removed from storage prior to the 1st we will have to move things Mon & Tues. We both work 10 - 12 hours a day. This makes it almost impossible to do.
I called them and told them that we have to have everything out of storage and the apt. and will not be able to do that with so little time. I also told them that if we could not reach an agreement to move things in over the weekend we would not be able to follow through with the agreement. We have not signed anything as yet, there has been nothing to sign.
Should I just forget it and go on? It seems that something is "funny" about this deal. Need advice. Thank You

If you have any doubts about this, don't do it. If you do do not understand everything in contract, I strongly advise getting legal help. Also with a contract, be sure and have it recorded at your courthouse. Been there, done that, got burnt.
