    Complete loss of water pressure
Hi all - Approximately 3 times within the last 3 months or so, I have lost all water pressure. The way I got it back was by doing this:

First time - I turned on the drain (spigot) at the base of the pressure tank and turned it right back off and the pressure came back immediately.
Second time - Doing the first option did not work, so I hit the pressure tank and the pressure came back immediately (not a high tech fix). :)
Third - I tried all of the following and nothing worked until I combined the first two options along with shutting down the power to the pressure tank and well. Then pressure came back.

My question is this: Could this be caused by the water pump pressure control switch?

Thanks to all who contribute to this great site!

The first thing I would check is the contacts in the control box. Are they dirty? Not making good contact or not activating at all? Good luck, Tom
