    Loss of water pressure
My water pressure will fluctuate a lot and sometimes the pump will not turn back on, I have replaced the tank and the pressure switch. I also checked the electrical connections in the control box for the pump and found a bit of corrosion on the ground terminal. I cleaned that all off and put it back together and, still I am having the same problem. I was wondering if anyone knew what I should check and how should I go about checking it, or what should I replace to fix this problem.
I have had to get out of the shower numerous times to restart the pump (not fun!! )
The water pressure will drop off very quickly and rise very quickly from 30 to 50 psi, and the pump will come on most of the time like it should. Its an intermittant problem.

And how do you start the pump when you have to get out of the shower? I would have bet my last dolllar on the pressure switch but you say you replaced it.

I am not sure why you disagree, I just asked a question so I'd have a better understanding of the problem. Since you replaced the pressure switch I wanted to know what steps you took to start the pump. Without that info and Ican't start to tell you how to fix the problem because you have not provided sufficient information.

Here's the deal: Have seen a slow but sure loss of hot water pressure in the five plus years we have been in the house. Water source is a well, so lime and minerals are likely to blame. Pipes are copper. Water is heated through the furnace, a Smith (Westcast) 8 Series boiler-burner unit. We...
