    91 honda civic.intermittent start
I have done enough research to determine that my 91 honda civic sedan is in need of a "relay" switch because it doesn't start during hottest part of the day on first try but will after I try a few times then wait then try again. My question: Is the relay switch which I think is behind the left coin tray hard to reach? Can someone tell me if this is a hard part to get to? I have been able to get into the dash to make other mods like gauges so I know I can access the part if in fact I'm thining its in the right place. If anyone can answer these questions I'd really appreciate it. Trying not to be a typical girl and fix this myself.

It can be somewhat difficult to remove and replace. Generally, you want to remove the fuse box cover and the lower dash cover, to the left of the steering column. A 10 mm bolt secures the main relay bracket to the left kick panel. Turning the ignition key on and off will help you locate it, by hearing and feeling it click.

Compare the old main relay to the new one, to ensure it's the correct replacement. Look for the original part number (e.g. Mitsuba RY168). The link below will give you an idea what it costs:
