    Rewiring at breaker box
    Hello,

I am rewiring my house as part of a kitchen remodel. The wiring in my house in flexible conduit with multiple lines in the same conduit. I am using one of the lines in the conduit but not the other. Can I leave the wiring I will not be using in the conduit and disconnect the line at the breaker, cap, and leave them? I would like to remove it totally, but due to several other issues it isn't possible. Thanks for the help.

Leaving the wires and capping them with electrical tape or wirenuts is fine, and may help in the future as spares if needed.

Breaker Box Question [ 5 Answers ]

I guess it would be better to call it a fuse box... not breaker. I live in a rather old house with k&t wiring. Our box, located in the basement, has all the wiring come in from the top. At the top of the front panel there are two black pull-out things that have markings saying main and off. They...
