    Electric stove
I have an electric stove by Kenmore. What causes the oven to not go off when you turn it off and only get hotter and hotter no matter what temperature you put it on? Instructions on a cake I was cooking said to preheat oven to 375. I did that but notice that the oven was too hot to put the cake in. So I turned it down to about 350 and the oven still appeared to be entirely too hot for that degree. So I turned the oven off and the burners would not even begin to go out, it just stayed on. The only way to get the oven off was to turn it off by the breaker box.
