Anger issues and 24 weeks pregnant
My husband sat me down the other night and told me that I needed to fix a couple of things. He said that he was worried because I have been so angry lately. I don't know if this is happening because I am pregnant (but I am assuming). When we get in the smallest argument I fly off the handle. I went as far as breaking a few things the other night. I am having a really hard time. I could definitely use some advise with this problem. Thanks.

Well, I don't know if there are underlying issues here, but I can assure you that pregnancy hormones aren't referred to as " raging hormones" for nothing. One moment you are happy, the next you are crying, then next you are mad. Its one of those facts of life as a preggy unfortunately. It is good that your husband sat down to talk with you about it. It sounds as though he went about it in a very adult way. It is hard for men to understand these raging hormones, they don't understand how you can really change your mood that quickly, and think it has to be something else. But its totally normal. It would be wise to try and remember that what you are feeling (sad mad or whatever) that the situation is further accentuated by your hormones, and most of the time, really isn't that bad. BUT don't beat yourself up about being "off the handle" with your emotions. You really aren't in total control of your emotions anymore when you get pregnant. Half the time we don't even know why we get so mad, or upset. "why does that stupid commercial on the tv make me cry every time?" ;0) Talk to your doctor about it, it will help to alleviate your concerns. As far as your hubby, let him know that you do love him, and that you don't mean to get so angry or upset over things, but your hormones are in over drive, and you can't help it. Ask him to please be patient. Him being calm and patient will help you to calm down as well.
