    Ceiling fans shaking
Hi! I have 2 ceiling fans that were here when we moved into our home @ 2 years ago. One in the kitchen and one in the dining room. They both have lights and pull chains. When either one is set on the high or medium speed, they shake to the point that it seems as though they will fall down, especially the one in the dining room. I have tried to adjust the blades (read somewhere that it might help), but it didn't. I am sorry that I don't know the manufacturer of the fan, (there is a "Q" on one of the fan pull chains if that is any help) but the person that sold us the house didn't leave us any information about anything, so you can imagine what a nightmare it has been living here when things breakdown. Any suggestions about what I can do to help with this problem?

    Thank you,

    Dorothy

The blades possibly bumped or hit, Besides out of balance, fans usually wobble because of being out of plane, or pushed/bent back. Measure distance between blade tips. The blade
Between the low and the high measurement is blade needs correcton most.
Have seen universal blades and brackets. Don't know if an option.

Check out the first "Stiky" under "Electrical and Lighting"/Common ceiling fan problems. Lot of good info.
