    Strange Buldge in stomach
When I lay flat on my back, the right side of my stomach area sticks out more than the left side, and it kind of hurts when I push in on the side that sticks out. When I stand up though, it doesn't stick out more, I think whatever it is just goes to the bottom of my abdomen. I do plan on going to the doctors, but it would just ease my mind a little bit to know if any one has any information at what this could be.
    Thank you

You posted about removing a bruise acquired from having an IV in your arm, so you were obviously in the hospital. Did you have surgery in or around your abdominal area when you were in the hospital. If so, you could still be swollen in that area from whatever procedure you had.

As for the bruise from the IV, I don't think you can do much about that, nature will have to take its course.

Pomp that is what I thought but I thought hernias stuck out more when you were straining. My son was born, with one in his scrotum and when he cried or tried to get up from a lying position it was noticeable then , So I'm not sure this could be that. They waited until he was a year old to repair it. They told me they were not painful unless they became strangulated. I have no medical degree only my experience as a mom. :)

All posters seem knowledgeable here! Yes I'd bet it is a hernia-you will need it corrected by surgery.
