    Excessive gas
    I know some foods are gassier than others, but it doesn't seem to matter what my husband eats he has excessive gas. He is 74 so maybe this is normal for his age? Other than a bad heart and Barrets Disease he is in fairly good health.

    It could very well be his gall bladder. Gallstones/gall bladder problems can cause frequent gas that you have never had a problem with before. Some of the main symptoms of gall bladder problems are : frequent gas, frequent bowel movements, diarrhea, nausea, tenderness/pain in the upper stomach are or on the upper right side of your stomach.
