    Need to know how to get full custody of son
    I have been remarried for 5 years and my husband is who my son knows as his dad. When I divorced I got sole custody and his father got visitation, every other weekend. Long story short he stopped coming to see his son and I have not seen a child support payments in yrs. Found out he is in jail for drug related charges and is a heavy drug user, he is awaiting sentence. I want full custody and need to know how to get the papers drawn up and any advice you can provide that will help my case.

    What you are asking is how do you take away the rights of the bio father ?

    Does your current husband what to adopt ?

    I should think an attorney could help you file for a change of custody due to the circumstances.

    Fr_Chuck, I think she wants merely wants sole custody rather than joint custody... so she can legally make all decisions without needing the other parents consent or input, get a passport for her child if needed, etc.
