    Judgement Payment Arrangements
Upon receiving a judgement against you for an old credit card debt, I contacted the legal office and made arrangements to pay this debt. Can the agency that is seeking payment of this debt still freeze bank accounts, or make wage garnishments?

    Thanks for your help.

I received the summons and called the attornerys office that was on the summons and made payment arrangements. I was inquiring that will they still garnish my wages or freeze my back account? This has not gone to court I contacted them the very next day and made arrangements to pay. I'm not trying to get out of my debt, I have just been in a very difficult financial way and that is the only reason I could not pay. I knew that I would have to eventually even though it would be more, but I had no choice.

    Hello
If there was a default judgement against you for a debt {if you received notice of a court date and did not respond} then yes I would say they could attach your bank account or garnish your wages Always get payment agreements in writing NEVER believe anything that is told to you by these collections people trying to collect a debt

Yes, any arrangement after a judgement is awarded by the judge is only as good as the word of the company you are dealing with.

If you pay on time, exactly as promised, and they are a honest company, then most likely they won't, but if they are like about 99 percent of collection companies they will take all you got as soon as they find it.
