Be sure to disconnect the negative battery terminal first. On many Hondas, the TCM is not a separate module from the ECM. Once you have access, depress the connector release and, using a small screwdriver, carefully pry the female connector off. Do this for each harness connector.
Look into buying a remanufactured TCM/ECM. It will be much cheaper than from Honda and you may be able to get one with a lifetime warranty, if you shop around. |
