    What is the newest treatment available for hep c type 1. I have been on treatment before but it did not work

    Pegintron with ribaviron is the standard of care now. It's an interferon that has a side chain that makes it hang around longer in the blood stream. It's much more effective than the older interferons.

    Pegylated interferon with oral ribavirin is the treatment of choice. It's more effective than the older interferons.
