I met a guy through a dating internet site and we immediately hit it off. At first I was thrown because he seemed to fall very quickly for me through text messages before we had even spoken on the phone. We live a fair distance apart (about a 3 hr drive) so it was always going to be difficult to see each other regularly. However he spent 2 weekends at mine, and during the week we would be texting each other at least 5 or times a day and talking for most of the eveing on the phone. The texts and calls were getting serious, he was telling me how much he had fallen for me, how happy I was making him, how glad he was that he had met me etc
We decided that I would go to his this weekend, stay Saturday and Sunday night and then come home today. We had a great day out on Saturday, and a nice evening tucked up on the sofa. However at breakfast on Sunday he suggested that it might be better for me to head home as the weather was awful and he had had some calls asking him to go out and do some jobs. This threw me a bit but I headed home anyway. He told me to call him when I got home but he didn't answer his phone or reply to my text. He finally rang me about 5 hours later and seemed OK and said he was just popping out and would ring me later. At 10.30 I texted him to see if he was around and he rang me from a pub very drunk and put his friend on to talk to me that I have never spoken to before. We had a quick chat and he put me back through to the boyfriend who closed down the call fairly quickly.
I texted him this morning but so far have heard nothing... which is not normal as usually he would be texting or calling me within 5 or 10 minutes.
Should I just take the hint and write him off or could there be some reason for this?

Are you sure that this guy is not married and leading you on?

If you slept with him, then he got what he wanted. If you honestly did not, then I guess this is yet another example of never being able to figure other people out. I have to say this, it sounds like he was trying to get rid of you Sunday because he found something better to do. If he had "jobs" to do, then he would have made mention of this before he invited you to his place. I would not waste anymore time trying to contact him. Usually, guys who fall for someone so quickly do not have the very best intentions. Keep strong, girl. Just don't be a doormat and allow him to continue to use you in this way. He was very insensitive and you deserve better than that.
