What happens when the call- in Probation gets revoked for failer to pay/verify court
My husband and I are currently on probation, we have been on call-in since about sept. we just received a letter stating that we were returned to regular supervision probation for failer to pay/verify court cost. Our payments were only suppose to be 20 a month and on the month of March I made a 200 dollar payment. I thought that would take us up for a few months since it is hard to make it to the court house. Anyway I am going to go down there on Tuesday and pay off the court cost completely but can they reinstate us on the call in probation and will we have to pay for our monthly call in all over again? We had 11 months left on our account.

    Hello stack:

They can do anything they want!!

What you need to do is talk to them - not us. IF you had talked to them about your $200, you would have found out what it covered and what it didn't.

These are people who have CONTROL OVER YOUR LIVES. I wouldn't treat them like a bill collector, and I would NEVER, EVER assume anything!!

Ok, no unless you spoke to the PO and they agreed to let 200 be 10 months payment, they merely gave that much credit for that much, assumign you are paying off balance, but the next month another 20 was also due. And even if you pay off the entire balance, they can still leave you on regular probatoin now if they want,

Mistake, assumeing they had common sense and would understand what you were doing.

    UPDATE:

Just wanted to let you all know that we went up there Monday afternoon and paid the court cost off then we took the papers to the PO office. We saw our old PO there who is by the way extremely nice we explained the situation to her she went and talked to the call in officer which placed us back on min. supervision.

Thank You all for your responses.

Though this whole process we have learned to face everything right away and it seems like the out come isn't as bad as it could be.
