My dashund, 3 years old, has kept me up all night whining. He has started limping severely on both hind legs. He acts as if he has dislocated them or something. I don't know what to do. He rolls over constantly and can not get comfortable. Can someone please help me with this. If you touch him he yelps.

He really needs to go to the vet. There is nothing we can do here.

Please please please get him to a vet. Doxies are prone to back issues. He needs to be seen

Nef, in case the two pleas above didn't have an effect, I am echoing their responses. Call your vet immediately. As Tuscany states, doxies are prone to back and hip problems. Big time. It sounds like he is in major trouble. Call your vet NOW! Get him in there asap for an examination.

Thank you so much for all of your advice. After I got home from my own doctors appointment this morning, he seemed to be doing much better. He was even wagging his tail and walking around like nothing happened. He only had a small limp. I live out in the sticks and the nearest vet is like 15 miles away so I will call them to make sure they can see him before I take him in. But I will have him seen. Thanks again for your advice.
