Hi! I am recently married 2 months back and my husband has always used condoms every time we made out. We have never been irregular or ignorant about it. I had my first periods after marriage absolutely on time and now my second period was due on 26 April and I am already 5 days late. I have always had regular periods.

I have been having period like cramps and breast tenderness (which I always have pre-mensis) past 4-5 days but didn't have any bleeding. No other symptoms of pregnancy. I took the clearblue pregnancy test yesterday (4th day of my late period) and the result was negative. However, I had little bleeding today in the morning when I wiped. I want to know is this sign of Implantation bleeding? Am I pregnant?

We are not planning a baby now and I am very concerned about my late period. Please advise. Thanks.

It could be implantation bleeding, or it could be your period getting ready to start. If you are pregnant you probably won't get a positive result until at least 7-10 days late for your period. You could also go to your doctor and have a blood test done. Sometimes it is normal to miss a period, though. If you still get a negative at 2 weeks late you most likely aren't pregnant. I'm not a doctor, though, so if you have any doubts seek medical advice. Good luck to you!

You are being wise and responsible to use because options, in order to avoid getting pregnant before you are ready. However, condoms aren't 100% effective,(like all birth control) so it is important to factor in the risks. If you use birth control (like the pill for example) and use condoms on top of that, you increase your chances of avoiding pregnancy. Now, as far as being late for your period. 5 days is not incredibly late for your period. You might be the most regular person in the world, but irregularity does happen. Its not uncommon to be late, or even completely miss a period now and then. I would wait until you are two weeks late. If you are still not showing signs of coming on, go get a blood test done, as it could be that your hcg levels are just too low to register on an hpt. Qualatative blood tests are more accurate then hpts, and don't cost too much more.However, keep in mind that these (like hpts) only give a positive or negative result, and if you hcg levels are too low to register on even on this test it will still show negative, even though you MIGHT be pregnant. SO, if you are miss a second period, after having negative hpts and blood test, your doctor will most likely order a Quantative blood test. Unless the first blood test, this test measures the exact amount of hcg in your system. If the levels are high enough to be considered as a possible pregnancy, then the test will be repeated a few days after, to determine if the levels are doubling, as they should in a normal pregnancy. Don't feel awkward about going in to the doctor before you miss a second period, however. They can do an exam and look for more defining signs of pregnancy, such as an enlarged uterus and the blueish/purple tinge in the cervical/vaginal area that accompanies pregnancy, due to increased blood flow. If you are truly concerned about it, don't hesitate to talk to your doctor. They can best help you figure out what the problem is. It could be completely normal for you to miss(I once missed my period for two months, then started again like clock work, simply because hubby and I were wanting a second baby so badly) or it could be that you will need help to restart your cycle. I believe at this point it is too early to jump to any conclusions on the matter. Give it until you are two weeks late, then blood test. Good luck to you.

I honestly can't answer that, but I know what you are saying. My husband and I haven't used protection since I had my 1st miscarriage. We have been trying. I don't have any symptoms except for the weight gain and the urinating a lot. I had my period 3 times in 1 month. That is VERY irregular. I'm concerned that I can't have children because when I had my miscarriage, I was not supposed to have sex until 2 weeks after and I had sex the same night with my husband... I know that was messed up, but the pills they gave me just put me in the mood. Lol if anyone can help me.. please help me I don't know what to do. I hate going to the doctors just to be disappointed every time. And my pregnancy tests come back negative. PULEEZE HELP ME

Well it could be anything really. It could be that uour period is about to start. Sometimes that same things happen to me. But what I have found out in my experience that if you really think your pregnant you should let your husband know and if you don't have your period I a couple of days maybe even a week then go to the doctor. I can't really tell if Im preganat or not because I have very irregular periods. But if you are regular you should be cautious. But really it could be anything.

Yea my periods are irregular too, but well I don't know it just kills me because I get my hopes up every time you know, but when I work up the courage I'm going to go to the doctors. I just have to find a good one. I'm guess I'm just worried because in a year after having sex, I'm still not pregnant... :mad:
