    Half equations
    I was just wondering if anyone knew this question...
    the question asks:
    assume I2 asnd SO3 ions are two of the products of the reaction between sulfuric acid and potassium iodide.

    Write half equations for the reaction...

    would the overall equation be: KI + H2SO4 = K2SO3 + H2O + I2?

    and how do I use to oxidation numbers to identify the oxidant and reactant?
