    Wage garnishment
I keep getting calls from a creditor about a bill that is not mine. I did not live at the address that the bill was at. I do not believe that I am responsible for this bill. I am in the process of clearing it from my credit report, but this collection agency keeps threatening me with a wage garnishment. What do they have to do in GA to garnish my wages? CAn they just start taking my pay check?

    Hello M:

No. They have to sue you first and win before they can take your paycheck. IF they sue you, go to court and tell the judge what you told us here.
