    Boiler Drip
I have a Carrier BW9 condensing hot water boiler. The concentric intake/exhaust pipe was just lengthened from 10 feet to approx. 40 feet. I now have a drip from the 3 inch hose at the bottom of the boiler that connects to the PVC exhaust. The clamps may have loosened from new installation. My question is " Should there be any condensation there at all or was it a mistake to lengthen the exhaust? Thanks

A condensing unit produces water. In a short length it probably heats up enough to evaporate the water. With a 40' length, probably not. The pipe is PVC?

My Oil burning boiler deloped an oil drip. [ 1 Answers ]

My oil burning boiler developed a drip. I recently had my boiler inspected for rust on the exterior. A sticker on the unit housing was charred and the burning area seemed rusty.
