    Converter from 220 to 110
    The previous owner had a 220outlet outside to charge his rv?I would like to change to 110 so I can run power to the unattached garage and a 110 outlet where the 220 receptacle was

    Conceptually there are several problems with this. You do not power a remote structure from a receptacle. There so many code violations with that idea that they cannot be listed.

    To convert a 240 (unknown amperage) circuit to a 120V (15 or 20 amp) receptacle starts at the panel box. The Dual breaker and cable from the breaker to the outside receptacle have to be removed, the correct sized breaker has to be installed for the circuit you want. The correct GFCI / TR receptacle needs to be installed in a water proof box.
