Movie name with police fake sports match sting at beginning?
I saw the beginning of an american movie on TV over 5 - 8 years ago and the police had sent invites to uncaught criminals inviting them to a fake ?basketball match with famous players. They rounded them up after they sat in the ?indoor stadium waiting forit to start. An invited man and his son arrived late, (as the last crim was put into a policevan in the background) and was told by an undercover officer that the "game" was "cancelled", but when the man got annoyed and said 'what do you mean its off? ", rather than arresting him, (presumably because he has a little boy with him) the plain clothes policeman showed him his polive badge and repeated "It's cancelled" or "it's off! And the man nervously ran off with his little boy.
I keep thinking about this movie! I wish it been able to watch the rest. Does anyone know what it might have been? Thanks! : ) |
