Double Kitchen sink clogged
I have a double kitchen sink that is clogged. I've removed the disposal and the J traps and tried to snake an auger through both pipes in the wall, they just route out the other side. I can't seem to hit the portion of the pipe that actually drains out. Help?

Try bending the head of the snake a bit and then push it into the drain by hand... hopefully, the bend in the snake will allow the snake to drop into the vertical piping. If you have a dedicated kitchen sink vent you may also be able to go on the roof (if pitch is reasonable) and snake the drain through the vent pipe. If all that fails after numerous attempts, you may need to go rent a hand-held cable machine with a DROP HEAD (see image below) in the kit. That should fix this, for sure!

"both pipes in the wall" this sounds odd, can you post a picture of your drains? Normally the two traps join into one pipe outside of the wall. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lj8hhuhhIcY

I put some food down my disposal today and not long after the sink became clogged and it fills up on both sides. I have taken it all apart and the traps don't have anything in them and I do not have a snake to go far into the wall to unclog it I used a wire hanger but I'm guessing it wasn't long...
We thought our double sink was clogged. However, when we take the cap off the outside relief valve it flows wonderfully... and not outside by the relief valve. It just runs perfectly. What are we doing wrong relative to the release valve. Should we replace the cap, keep the cap off, etc.

My kitchen sink is very clogged,I plunged the right side and the left side goes down but as soon as I take the plunger off the right side water comes back into the left so I'm keeping the right side stopped up with the plunger. On occasion when I see water standing in my right sink where the garbage disposal is, I assume something is in the disposal and while running water turn it on and clear it out. In that circumstance waste then goes into the opposite sink. This has gradually gotten worse and now both sinks fill up...
