    Power surge fried my fan/light?
Hi. We had a power outage and now neither of my two beautiful Harbor Breeze ceiling fans with lights work. They have pull chains and remotes but neither will start the fans or turn on the lights. When I activate the remotes, they light up but the fans and lights do not come on. Both fans are connected to wall switches. We checked the fuse box but that didn't help. Can you please tell me how to fix this? Thanks!

Do you have a fuse box or breakers?

Do you have a multi-meter? The first step is to determine if the breaker/fuse is supplying power to the fan's supply side.

If not, then the solution is within the panelboard and the circuit leading to the fan. Also check to make sure that there are no GFCI devices that may have tripped on this circuit.
