Wow, this is so cool. I too have this bizarre faucet, This is kind of like a faucet cult. Haha! Mine also will not slide horizontally (I didn't even know that it did!). The lever on mine is getting real stiff and will need some attention soon. Vanman, if you could send me those exploded views it would be great. I'll send you an email if that address is still current.
afaroo, thanks to you also for your part #'s

I've got this faucet too and the kids love it... riser part works great for hair washing and swivel tip for getting drinks. Trouble is mine has now started dripping pretty good and the handle goes up and down fairly hard. Will the cartridge work to repair these problems? I'm thinking it will but wanted to see if anyone experienced the same thing. An exploded view would be great if you could e-mail it to me. [email protected] Any help would be appreciated! Ron Schmidt

I have this same faucet. The swivel head never extended, just turned to drinking fountain mode. I do have a problem with this faucet though the handle leaks. I have took off the lever, ring, and a plastic part that has a inner part that slides up and down. This plastic part has a single O-ring. It does not look like a cartage, the long screw pass through and screws in to something below that moves up and down(the cartage? Maybe) how do you remove that?

It is sooo good to know I am not alone in this adventure. I didn't realize how many years we have had this faucet. TODAY I changed out the cartridge in my "riser" Moen faucet. Got it at Lowe's, Moen cartridge #1225. This is our 2nd cartridge replacement since new.
The clear Moen disk at the center of the faucet handle clips out by friction. I used an art knife to get it started. Mine is cracked in several places. Remove the LONG brass screw under the clear disk. The handle and it's holder ring will lift off the faucet, but they both have to tilt up and back to release from their groove in the actuater.
Unscrew the big brass retainer that has the knurled band. The LONG brass screw was inside 2 plastic extensions. These extenders may no longer available so be gentle with them. After pulling them up and out, I put DANCO silicone grease on the O-ring of the inside one. I replaced the screw by hand as far as possible. Replaced the big brass retainer to give a strong surface to leverage up the LONG brass screw. By pulling or prying STRAIGHT up on the screw with care but determination, the cartridge came straight up and out.
The new cartridge was lubricated quite well, so I put it straight in. After re-assembly, check that the hot and cold sides are not reversed. If so, there is a simple 180 degree rotation of the cartridge explained in the Moen instruction sheet. GOOD luck. We have used ours in our master bathroom every day. It is nice to have the drips stopped again.

Hello all!
I have been reading through this thread and I wanted to comment about this faucet. I know Moen has a life time warranty but that doesn't mean they will continue to produce those parts after a while. I work for a wholesaler and we were cleaning our shelves and found 3 of these faucets new in the boxes. I don't know if anyone here is in need of discontinued parts or want a new faucet. I am planning on throwing them up on eBay but can post the link if anyone is interested in them.
Thanks
Anna

Hi Anna:
I remember this faucet and might be interested in purchasing one of yours if you still have them in stock. I looked up on Ebay but didn't see them.
Thanks!

Anna,
I have two of these faucets and love them. Do you still have these faucets or are they long gone? Anyone else out there have a faucet like this one to sell me?

I have a Moen Riser and my plumber has never seen anything like it. I've had it for over 20 years I guess in a very small bathroom. I do not have the box it came in or any information. Mine is still working, but the rubber gasket around the up spout is falling apart and I asked my plumber if he could fix it so the faucet wouldn't fall and hit me on the head. I use it to wash my hair. He didn't want to try. If you have any pictures that might help or any information. Thank you. Pat
