I have a powder room corner vanity with a Moen Riser single Handle faucet. The lever is not attached to the faucet - rather it is offset to the right. The faucet is on 4" centers and can be raised up approx 6". It also has the ability to be extended and the spout can be rotated. I cannot find this faucet in catalogs or anywhere. Am looking for "exploded view". The spout extension is "stuck", and the adjusting ring sill not budge. Am looking for a way to loosen the ring - lubricate and return the faucet to original condition - if not am looking to find another identical faucet. Any ideas?

I tried to get you the exploded view... but was unsuccessful (they didn't even have a picture to guide me to advise here).

Thanks for the help. I tried to find this unit (circa 1971) on their web-site and could not find it anywhere. The lever is on the right side of the spout where the cold handle might normally be placed. The spout (riser) comes out of the middle and is adjustable in height. The spout is also adjustable in length - there is a slide tube with a locking ring (that won't turn to allow adjusting). And the end of the spout can also be swiveled 180 degrees - to allow the unit to achieve what might be called a "water fountain" effect. Tried looking back in the files 17 years ago, and so far - no luck! Would like to either repair or replace with exact unit if possible. This unit (4" centers) is perfect for this corner sink (vanity) in this powder room under the stairs. Am going to try Moen - again - so far, no luck.

Mark - I spoke with Moen this afternoon - girl tried to be helpful, but had no idea what I was talking about. She sent me what she thought was the exploded view for a riser faucet that they have for the kitchen sink, not lavy. It is not the model that I have. It does not have a slide tube in the spout to allow the spout to extend itself, and the spout is fixed. So the only option I have is to hope that my wife has a copy of the literature from 1971 somewhere - so I can get the model number. Meanwhile, they are sending me a diverter for the 7100 series kitchen faucet - the o-rings on mine are kaput, and can't seem to find the exact size to make this one work. As far as the riser unit - it actually has the word "Riser" in capital script letters written on the top of the spout, and the Moen logo on the cap on the lever. So far, the standard "call Moen" approach has not helped here. Thanks again - John

I had heard that they stopped keeping updates on some faucets prior to some kind of merge that occurred back in the 80s... you just found one of them.

I wonder if you can post a picture of this faucet..? If you can I would consult a manager at the moen number and e-mail him/her a picture with all information you can... but talk to a manager.

If they don't step up to the plate I would take that picture to a local plumbing supply house with a showroom and see what they can find that is similar.

Now I was just a mear child back then but Moen had the same guarantee and they must have some records to support there products. Lets get Vanman to post a picture so you guys can say there's one in the back of your truck somewhere. LOL

You guys are one step ahead of me! - thanks for the input - I plan on taking some digital pictures of the unit - in place - vertical extension - swiveled - etc. We can't show you the "horizontal extension of the spout because the "slide tube locking ring" is in fact "locked" (which is what started this whole thing to begin with). Never the less - pictures are worth the proverbial "thousand words". So should have that in the next few days.

Ok guys - I took pics with my digital camera - put them on a flash drive in a separate folder. I attempted to convert that file into a compressed (zip) file, and then upload that into the system. Not sure if that is the right thing to do - then after chugging along for about 5 minutes - this is the answer I received.. .

Forgot - note the locking ring between the aerator and the spout body
Also the ability of the aerator to pivot 180 degrees to achieve the so-called bubbler, or
Drinking fountain effect.
And the lack of the unit's ability to extend horizontally - because the locking ring
Is locked.

Hi, I came across your thread while attempting to fix this exact model in my home. Were you able to successfully find the exploded specs for this faucet? I simply need to replace a couple O-rings, but not sure how to take this thing apart. Any assist would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

My original concern was to be able to "unscrew" the connector so that I could slide the faucet tube out. We had not used that function for so long that I had almost forgot about it. Unfortunately the threads must be so corroded that I might break something by using a pipe wrench - so I decided to leave that part alone. It still will slide up and down, and the faucet will swivel - just not extend outward. After almost 18 years - the crazy thing still does not drip - so I'm waiting until it does to replace the cartridge.

Moen sent me the "exploded view" - in a pdf file - it will take a me a little to find it - but you're welcome to it.

What I would really like is to have another faucet just like this one. It fits in a corner sink in our mudroom and is just the right fixture for that vanity. Unfortunately Moen decided that if it is a good product they have to find something else to replace it! If you know of a faucet similar to this one - please let me know - Thanks

I have seen this faucet few years back at one of my customer houses. It is a nice faucet...

From the posted photos, it appears that you have a bit of calcification going on there. Also, your O rings are probably stiff preventing that spout from sliding out. I would try to spray it with some product that dissolves calcium, like vinegar, or other...

Stupid question: did you try to pull on it hard in forward motion to break the grip ?

Well - whaddayano - I guess I didn't try that! - You know - try the simple stuff first! - I'll give it a go - saw you on the net just now and thought I'd get back. Yup - tried the vinegar, and the other brand of de-calcifier. I had my pipe wrench on one side and a strap wrench on the other - didn't want to go too far. My remembrance is that it wasn't so much the o-rings, as the serrated collar actually "unscrewed" first - then you could slide the spout out. So - I gave up on that - it still runs water, and the up/down vertical/side-to-side still works - so I have 90% function - I wasn't going to worry about the rest. The calcification was from the central water system we had up till about 4 years ago. Also had some nasty manganese in the toilet tanks. Pa American took the system over and have been very good about maintaining the proper levels - no manganese, ph - +/- 7, and tds is very low. Probably too much info - anyway thanks for getting back to me. If you happen to know of someone who still has one of these in a box somewhere - let me know. Thanks-JHD in PA.

Your faucet is fountain- FLO single handle riser lavatory faucet Model #4545 and it is been discontinued long time ago, the only thing that Moen support is the Cartridge you can replace it with 1222 or 1225, I have an email from Moen to show you the exploded parts but can't attach to this link, if any one is entrusted send me your email address and I will forward it to you, Thanks.

Well Hello - afaroo - John - thanks for jumping in here - This has been an issue with me for some time now - It seems that a lot of things that work really well are discontinued by manf - - for whatever reason - I've known this has been long gone for some time - but I keep holding out hope that somewhere someone might have one coated in dust on the back shelf! I haven't seen anything even close to this riser unit. I have the exploded parts view from Moen and saved it as PDF - for anyone who wants it. However - as you know - Moen will only "support" it with the cartridge. Thanks again for your input. Vanman in PA
