I have a Bryant airconditioner heat pump (Plus 90 X preferred series) in my upstairs
My Bryant airconditioner/furnace is in my upstairs closet of my tenant. We have excess condensation which is leaking into the floor ceiling below. Catch pan has a sensor but am not sure what this is triggering. Leak my be from excess flow from drip pan or from falling condensation outside the pan area. Should the sensor be triggering a pump of the water or a shut down of airconditioning. Neither appears to be happening. Any suggestions for my leak problem?

Should the sensor be triggering a pump
Sensor probably activates a condensation pump. Something you could manually activate to see if it is working.
You may (or may not) have a condensation drain line for a gravity drain with the pump for back up. Check for that. If you have a gravity drain it is probably stopped up. You should be able to clear with compressed air.

The sensors usually turn off the unit if water gets that high. Upstairs units are typically gravity drain. I have the same set up, gravity drain but a limit switch shut off if the pan gets filled. Common to find dirt dauber wasp nests in the drain lines.
